While it's very easy to trigger a door to open, I can't figure out how to make it close again. Also, how would I make a timed door (one that closes several seconds after it opens?)IP: Logged |

If you´ve got a switch triggering the door simply switch that switch again IP: Logged |

If your trigger is a pad or a 'square'then click the text next to the pink trigger button and put a value in seconds in the TIMER field. If your trigger is a switch and you want a timed door then select the trigger for the SWITCH and enter a value as above. I still don't know how to make the switch get back to its original position(suppose an OCB value? REB???)

Well this always work for me. select the door you want to shut first, then this should bring up the doors trigger type in the white box. Now click in the white box and asign another trigger as an antitrigger but for the same door. that should close it.IP: Logged |

I believe that not all types of switches behave the same. Some of them such as lever swithes can open and close a door without a special setting. The jump swithes,i suppose, are for one use(not sure!)and the big square wall switches can close a door as you described previously with an antitrigger. However antitriggers will not work with timed doors------------------

You can put a timer on the switch trigger to close the door, but the switch won't return to the 'on' position. I'm trying to find out how to do this - it was possible in TR3, so keep your fingers crossed. In the meantime, has anyone found this set up in the example levels?[This message has been edited by Reb@Eidos (edited 12-12-2000).] IP: Logged |

Any progress on this?It would be useful for switches to reset them selves. once the timer has finished. IP: Logged |

Here is something I noticed about the lever switch while doing the tut1 level. Enter a positive number in the timer window, but do not set the One Shot button. The first time you push the lever it will not return. But every time you use it after that the lever will return on it’s own.
